Agricultural science is defined as the sciences that encompass everything from food and fiber production to soil and crop cultivation as well as animal processing. Agriculture is the practice and act of planting crops and racing livestock.

History

The history of agricultural science can be dated back to human history, and agricultural developments played a major role in bringing about social change. Before the development of agriculture, human beings we nomads, basically hunters and gatherers.  The knowledge and skill of caring for the soil and growth of plants led to the development of human society by allowing them to settle down in a particular location generation after generation.
