Babcock varsity rewards student with 357 JAMB score, others

Babcock University, located in Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, has awarded Emmanuel Oluwanifemi a certificate of excellence for achieving the highest mark (357 out of 400) in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) among newly admitted students.

The university also recognized Eniola Kujenya, Adigwu Isaac, and Osaite Arigbe-Osula, who scored 14 out of 15 points in their 2022 JUPEB program, as well as Chukwuemeka Anene, who attained the highest CGPA of 4.76 out of 5.0 in the university’s pre-degree program, with certificates of excellence.

NDLEA has performed beyond expectation in Nigeria — Don

A Professor of Clinical-Forensic Pyschology at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra, Prof. Ogochukwu Harry Obi-Nwosu, has rated the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) high for “performing beyond expectation in Nigeria”.

He said the rating was as a result of the Agency’s unrelenting effort in the fight against drug abuse, illicit trafficking and it continues awareness campaign programmes among youths across communities in the country.

For the 10th consecutive year, the University of Ilorin has again topped the list of most sought-after universities in the country for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

2023 Admission: JAMB Announces Cut-Off Marks for Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has announced the approved cut-off for 2022/23 admissions.

Oloyode said JAMB has set 140 and above as the cut-off mark for universities and 100 for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

He disclosed this at the ongoing 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions and Awards in Abuja.

JAMB Announces Amount to Be Paid for Post-UTME Screening Into Tertiary Institutions

Post-UTME screening fee for all tertiary institutions in the country has been pegged at N2,000 by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Benin, and the University of Lagos are the Federal Universities that pegged their minimum benchmark for admissions at 200 cumulative scores obtainable during the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examinations, The PUNCH reports.

Our correspondent gathered that prior to the 2023 policy meeting held by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, all institutions were advised to propose the cut-off marks for the conduct of their admissions.

VCs agree on 140 as minimum benchmark score for admissions
