Osun Poly Rector suspension: Adeleke calls for calm

Osun State Government has called for calm as the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, Osun State Polytechnic chapter suspended academic activities on Tuesday.
The call was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenments, Barrister Kolapo Alimi on Tuesday.

Nigeria may not achieve Goal 4 of SDGs by 2030 if… — UNICEF

There are strong indications that Nigeria may not achieve the objectives of Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the year 2030 if the implementation of the programme is not encouraged.

The assertion was made by the Chief of Education, UNICEF, Nigeria Country Office, Saadhna Panday while making a presentation titled: Education in Nigeria: The Race to SDGs-4, Issues, Trends and Prospects during a One Day Media Dialogue on out-of-school children in Bauchi held at Chartwell Hotel, Misau on Wednesday.

Federal universities remain tuition-free – Presidency

The Presidency has denied that there has been a hike in the tuition fee payable in federal universities.
It maintained that contrary to reports, what has happened was an increase in discretionary charges by each university for hostel accommodation, registration, laboratory and other charges.

Three gifted students bag scholarship from NKFI Lokoja

Three gifted and innovative students of Saint Peters College Idah, Kogi state, have been awarded automatic scholarships by the management of Korea – Nigeria Friendship Institute (NKFI) in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi state.

The students, namely Samson Emeje, Yusuf Ayuba, and Tenimu Abubakar, were recognized for their exceptional technical skills, and the Rector of the Institute, Charles William Oluwatoyin, appealed to the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, to support the institute in meeting the demands of the forthcoming resource inspection by the Nigeria Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
