The State Commissioner for Education, Umar Haruna has ordered an immediate suspension of two principals of French Bilingual College and Chinese Bilingual College Kwankwaso in the Madobi Local Government Area for absenteeism and negligence of duty.

Resumption: Ekiti first lady presents school materials to 400 vulnerable pupils

Ahead of the resumption of schools in Ekiti state, wife of the Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, on Monday showered gifts of school materials on about 400 indigent pupils from the 16 Local Government Areas.

Oyebanji distributed brand new school bags containing water bottles, food warmers, mathematical sets, six 60-leave exercise books and transport allowance to each of the beneficiaries of the exercise majority of whom were orphans under her ‘Back-to-School Programme for Vulnerable Children’. Niqab use: FUNAAB Muslim students protest alleged bullying, victimization by management

The Education Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has expressed satisfaction with the over 85 per cent resumption of secondary school students for the new academic year in the FCT.

NANS berates OOU management over attempt to scuttle free, fair SUG election

THE National Association of Nigerian Students, Joint Campus Committee (NANS JCC) in Ogun State, has condemned the action of the management of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), aimed at scuttling the conduct of a free, fair and credible Students Union Government election.

UniJos Students Stage Protest Over Hike In School Fees

Thousands of University of Jos (UniJos) students staged a peaceful protest on Tuesday over 300 percent increment in school fees.

The roads leading to the University was blocked by students protesting the recent increase in school fees and other services rendered by the institution.

According to new school fees chat signed by the Registrar of the university, Dr. Rejoice James Songden said N213,000 fee is for 100 and 200 level students while the 300 level students and above will now pay N160,000. FG To Increase Budgetary Allocation To Education Sector
