Nigeria Unveils Scholarships For Youths In Northeastern Nigeria

The Nigerian government says it is set to unveil a scholarship programme for youths profoundly affected by insurgent activities in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states, all in the northeastern region.

According to a statement released by Muna Onuzo-Adetona of the North East Development Commission, NEDC, the initiative tagged “Lake Chad Scholarship Programme” under its Multi-sectoral Crisis Recovery Project Additional Financing, MCRP-AF, is aimed at addressing the educational challenges faced by youth in the North East region of Nigeria due to insurgency. Tinubu Commissions Six TETFund Projects In Bauchi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commissioned six educational projects at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) and Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP) all in Bauchi executed by Tertiary Education Fund (TETFund) at a cost of N873.6 million.

Four of the projects are at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) namely; departmental buildings B & C under the 2017 -2020 annual intervention, academic building for school of management technology, classrooms and laboratories. Obaseki offers automatic employment to 12 first class graduates of Edo varsity

Edo Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has offered automatic employment to the newly 12 first class graduates of the Edo State University, Uzairue.

Ondo College of Education students shut institution over NYSC mobilisation

Graduating students of a private College of Education in Akure, All-State College of Education, Ero, in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state, on Monday, shut down the school, protesting over the failure of the institution to mobilise the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC).

The protesting students who blocked the road also held the Proprietor of the school, Prince AAUA in his office for over six hours, asking him for a refund of tuition fees they paid in the last five years.
