United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has targeted to improve the learning of 270,500 children who experienced the Boko Haram conflict

in six Local Government Areas of Borno and Yobe states.

Yabatech students organise summit to promote good legislation in Nigeria

The students of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in Lagos have emphasised the importance of good legislation that will substantially impact the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

No corps member was killed in Ogun — NYSC coordinator

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has denied news report on the death of a corps member in Ogun.

The State Coordinator of the Scheme, Nasamu Olayinka stated during an interaction with newsmen in Abeokuta, on Tuesday.

189 bag first class as FUTMinna set to graduate 7,312 students

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology (FUTMinna), Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta has stated that no fewer than about 189 undergraduate students of the University will be awarded First Class Degrees in various disciplines as the Institution is poised to graduate 7,312 students during it’s 31st and 32nd combined convocation for 2020/2021 and 2022/2023 academic sessions.

It was further gathered that the combined convocation of the University which is scheduled for 1st February 2024 at the institution’s convocation square at the Gidan Kwano Main Campus of the Institution, will also see the award of second-class degrees (upper division) to 2,190 graduating students and 3,410 second-class degrees (lower division) to deserving students.

Entrepreneurship, needed skills to become job creators, global employees — Unilorin VC

Management of the University of Ilorin has said that the establishment of the Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre (TEC) in the university is aimed at equipping students with the requisite skills to become international employees and job creators.

Speaking at the grand finale of the maiden TEC-ASBE Innovation Summit in Ilorin on Tuesday, the vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Wahab Egbewole (SAN) said that the relationship between the Africa Support Bureau for Entrepreneurship (ASBE) and the university’s TEC would ultimately mould Africa entrepreneurs for global impact.

Stakeholders reiterate importance of AfCFTA implementation

Thisday lives Kogi Pays JAMB Registration Fees For 15,033 Public School Students

Kogi State Government has released the sum of N115,000,000 to cover the cost of JAMB Registration fees for 15,033 students in public schools across the State.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemmy Jones, disclosed this while briefing journalists in Lokoja, on Tuesday, saying the gesture is a further demonstration of the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello to giving all Kogi children free access to education.

According to the Commissioner, the action is a follow up to the earlier payment of about N497 million to WAEC to ensure no student in Kogi public schools is made to pay a dime before writing any internal or external examination. Read more:
