The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu (SAN), has officially inaugurated the Governing Councils of the ACCI’s four centres. The inauguration ceremony was conducted by the ACCI 1st Deputy President, Professor Adesoji Adesugba, on behalf of the president. The newly appointed chairmen and vice-chairmen will play a crucial role in providing leadership to drive the affairs of the centres.

According to a statement released by the chamber, the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC) will be chaired by Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN, with Mr. Patrick I. N. Ikwueto SAN serving as Vice-chairman. Additionally, the Business Entrepreneurship, Skills, and Technology (BEST) Centre will be led by Professor Adesoji Adesugba as Chairman and Barrister Ezenwa Anumnu as Vice Chairman.

Furthermore, the Abuja Trade Centre (ATC) will be chaired by Dr. Johnson Anene, with Chief Abiodun Odusanwo serving as Vice Chairman, while the National Policy Advocacy Centre (NPAC) will have Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong as Chairman and Engr. Dozie Mbanefo as Vice Chairman.

During the inauguration, Chief Emeka Obegolu emphasized the strategic importance of each centre, highlighting their roles in promoting international trade, resolving commercial disputes, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, and advocating conducive business policies. The appointment of the Governing Councils underscores the ACCI’s commitment to advancing economic growth and development initiatives in Abuja and beyond.
