The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced May 24 as the official date for the opening of the portal for student loan applications.

This was disclosed by the Managing Director of NELFUND, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday by the Fund’s Media and Public Relations Lead, Nasir Ayitogo.

Sawyerr emphasized that the opening of the portal is a significant milestone in President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to fostering accessible and inclusive education for all Nigerian students. He highlighted that the new portal would allow students to access loans easily, thus enabling them to pursue their academic dreams without financial hindrances.

The portal, designed with a user-friendly interface, will make it convenient for students to submit their loan applications.
