School leaders from Gombe and Taraba States have been challenged to become innovative and strategic to meet global educational and technological demands.

Dr. Shofoyeke David Adebiyi, Acting Director General and Chief Executive of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), made this call during the opening of a five-day workshop on “Effective School Management in the 21st Century.” Organized by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and NIEPA, the workshop took place at the Community Education Resource Center (CERC) in Gombe.

Representing Dr. Adebiyi, Dr. Oyeromi Samson, Head of Training and Research, emphasized NIEPA’s mission. Established in 1992 by the Federal Ministry of Education with UNESCO/IIEP Paris, NIEPA focuses on building a skilled cadre of education planners and managers through continuous training, consulting, and research.
