The Ijesha Digital Hub celebrated a significant milestone as 17 graduates from its first cohort received job offers upon successfully completing the training program.

This achievement was announced by Sir Aladekomo, an esteemed industry leader and chairman of SmartCity Resorts Plc, during the graduation ceremony. The event honored 48 trainees who completed intensive training in UI/UX Design, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, equipping them with cutting-edge skills and professional certificates.

Dr. Cornelius Adewale, executive director of Ijesha Global Alliance for Development (IGAD), praised the immediate job opportunities for the trainees as a testament to the hub’s commitment to skills development and its potential to transform Nigeria into a digital economy powerhouse.

Prince Abimbola Olashore, chairman of IGAD, emphasized the role of targeted training programs in addressing the skills gap in the Nigerian tech industry, highlighting the demand for skilled professionals. Dr. Adewale Alonge, vice president of IGAD, noted the broader impact of the initiative, contributing to the overall growth and development of Nigeria’s tech sector.

The event, chaired by Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, also featured the announcement of a 100 million Naira digital infrastructure fund for the “1000 Digital Workforce in 24 months” project by US-based Professor Olu Olowokere.
