Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have awarded full scholarships to 100 undergraduates at the University of Calabar through their Mercyisblessed Foundation.

The couple announced this generous gesture during their visit to the university on Friday, July 12, 2024.

The scholarship program covers full payment of school fees and other essentials to support bright but financially disadvantaged students.

Selection criteria and application details will be communicated through official channels, with the scholarship taking immediate effect. Mercy Chinwo emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, saying, “The scholarship is to inspire students that their dreams and ambitions are valid and not to give up because there is a God who has ‘Excess Love’.”

In addition to her philanthropic efforts, Mercy Chinwo recently released a new 12-track album, ‘Overwhelming Victory,’ recorded during her pregnancy. Her previous successful projects include ‘Elevated’, ‘Wonder’, and ‘Confidence’.
