The Katsina State Government, through the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project, has allocated N8.4 billion for the renovation of 100 secondary schools.

During an event in Rimi Local Government Area, cheques were presented to School Based Management Committees (SBMCs) as part of the project’s third phase.

AGILE Coordinator, Mr. Mustapha Shehu, announced plans to construct 75 new secondary schools, set to be commissioned in August 2024, and noted that 388 schools have already been renovated since the current administration began. An agreement was signed at the state’s High Court to ensure the grants are used appropriately.

Governor Dikko Radda emphasized the importance of education, stating it is essential for development and the foundation of a prosperous and equitable society.
