The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the results of the 2024 Common Entrance Examination for Unity schools.
The results were revealed by the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, during a press briefing on Tuesday. The examination, conducted on June 1, 2024, had 71,291 candidates across 599 centers nationwide.
Lagos State had the highest participation with 17,751 candidates, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 10,209, and Anambra State with 4,972 candidates. Out of the total, 66,931 candidates sat for the examination while 4,360 were absent. The highest score achieved was 203 out of 210.
Dr. Sununu confirmed that the admission process will adhere to the standard 60% merit-based criteria.
