Dr. Olatunde Alabi, Chief Medical Director of Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, advised the newly elected executive officers of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) to adhere to the highest standards of professional ethics.

During their recent courtesy visit, Alabi stressed the importance of maintaining integrity, working diligently, and showing respect to others within the medical field. He assured the NMA of the management’s full support and commitment to the welfare of its members.

Alabi also commended the NMA for their solidarity following the recent kidnapping of a staff member and called for enhanced security measures to address the growing concerns. He highlighted the need for a proactive approach by security agencies to prevent such incidents, which he noted contribute to the emigration of medical professionals seeking opportunities abroad.

In his response, Abubarka Hassan, Chairman of the NMA Kogi State chapter, expressed gratitude to Dr. Alabi and assured him of the association’s continued cooperation. Hassan promised that the NMA members would remain dedicated to professionalism and diligence in their work, aiming to achieve the desired results and contribute positively to the medical field.
