John Momoh, Chairman of Channels Media Group, has called for stronger collaboration between institutions offering postgraduate education and the private sector.

Speaking at the University of Lagos’ 2023/2024 annual lecture, Momoh emphasized that such partnerships are crucial for addressing Nigeria’s unique challenges and driving sustainable economic growth.

Momoh highlighted that the private sector, as a key driver of innovation and job creation, must work closely with universities to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving global market. He stressed that intentional and strategic collaboration is essential for the country’s development and urged attendees to use the lecture as a catalyst for forging new partnerships.

UNILAG Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folashade Ogunshola, supported this view, noting that higher institutions must align more closely with the nation’s developmental needs, with postgraduate schools playing a pivotal role in this effort.
