Ayondaves Int’l Academy Ushafa celebrated its 8th anniversary, marking eight years of excellence in education. The event which was held on Friday 20th a day after the actual date saw the staff and students commemorate the academy’s journey since its establishment.

The Director, Mr. Francis Ayonya, expressed his joy at the significant milestone, noting, “We saw the need to establish a school that serves the community,” underscoring the institution’s role in providing quality education for the children of Ushafa.

The Principal of the academy, Mr. Yakubu Salisu, highlighted the school’s remarkable infrastructure, proudly stating, “This is the school with the biggest and best structure in the environ.” The school has not only invested in physical structures but also in building an environment conducive to learning and growth, making it a standout institution within the area.

Mr. Donald Akudike Chidiebere, the Vice Principal for Administration and Games Master, who also served as the anniversary coordinator, detailed the school’s numerous achievements. “This school has achieved a lot within these eight years, including serving as a center for NECO and WAEC exams, BECE for Junior Secondary, and external examinations like NECO and NBTEB,” he said, reflecting on the academy’s contributions to the academic success of its students.

Miss Adedoyin O. Ojo, the Head of School, expressed her pride in the institution’s growth. “I am very happy to be part of the AIA story. The school has grown over the years,” she remarked, praising the continuous efforts of the staff and students in maintaining high standards of education.

Mrs. Juliet Ogbede, the Head of Nursery, praised the staff culture at Ayondaves International Academy, noting, “Here, the staff relationship is like family.” The sense of unity and collaboration among the staff has contributed to the school’s success, fostering a nurturing environment for both students and teachers. As Ayondaves International Academy celebrates its eighth year, it continues to be a beacon of educational excellence in Ushafa.
