Lagos State University (LASU) has once again been recognized as the Best State University in Nigeria, as confirmed by the recent AD Scientific Index Ranking.
This remarkable achievement marks the third consecutive year that LASU has maintained its top position, solidifying its reputation among its peers in the Nigerian academic landscape. Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the institution has not only been ranked the best among state universities but also the 10th best among 174 public universities and the 12th best overall among 237 ranked universities in Nigeria. This consistent excellence is a testament to LASU’s commitment to fostering a culture of research and academic achievement.
In addition to the impressive university ranking, five esteemed professors from LASU’s College of Medicine have made the prestigious Stanford Ranking of the Top 2% Scientists in Nigeria. These distinguished scholars include Prof. Adejuwon A. Adeneye, Prof. Idowu O. Senbanjo, Prof. Anthonia O. Ogbera, Prof. Olumuyiwa O. Odusanya, and Prof. Olayinka O. Ogunleye, each recognized for their significant contributions to research in their respective fields. Their rankings further highlight LASU’s status as a leading research hub in Nigeria.
