Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has named Professor Toyin Ogundipe as the new Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University in Ede, Osun State.

Prof. Ogundipe, who previously served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, succeeds Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, the RCCG’s Assistant General Overseer for Training and Education.

The announcement was made in a statement by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Adetunji Adeleye, on Monday in Osogbo. The statement also revealed the reconstituted Governing Council members, which includes representatives from the university’s Senate, RCCG, National Universities Commission, and the Redeemer’s University Alumni.

The new council features notable figures such as Professors Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, Ahmed Parker Yerima, and Christian Happi, alongside Pastor (Mrs.) Tomi Somefun, and Mrs. Mojisola Oje, the Registrar and Secretary to the Council. Their collective expertise is expected to drive the university’s mission of academic excellence and development.
