In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11, Zenith General Insurance has donated funds to the Lagoon School Library project.
Ugonwa Ohuche, Head of the Primary Section at Lagoon School, praised the company’s generous contribution, calling it “laudable and impactful.” She noted that the library project aligns perfectly with this year’s theme, “Girls’ Vision for the Future,” and will greatly benefit the students at the girls’ school. Ohuche urged other corporate entities to follow Zenith’s example by supporting similar initiatives that empower girls in the country.
Edith Agu, Senior Manager of Marketing and Branch Head for Head Office and South-South Regions at Zenith General Insurance, reiterated the company’s commitment to the future of the girl child. She emphasized the importance of gender sensitivity within the organization, highlighting the presence of women in leadership roles who are excelling in their positions.
Agu explained that supporting the Lagoon School Library project was a strategic decision, as it directly addresses a significant need within the girls’ school.
