Nduka Moseri, the Global Divisional Director of Finance at ARISE Media and former Finance Controller at THISDAY, has earned a Doctorate in Finance from Babcock University, Ogun State.
With multiple academic qualifications, including an HND, BSc, two Master’s degrees, and fellowships in various professional bodies, Moseri’s latest achievement adds to his extensive expertise in finance, accounting, and data science.
During the convocation ceremony, Moseri’s supervisor, Professor Sunday Ikechukwu Owualah, praised his hard work, dedication, and consistent pursuit of knowledge. He noted that Moseri’s thesis on “Corporate Earnings: Dividend Payments and Stock Prices Behaviour of Manufacturing Firms in Nigeria” will significantly contribute to the development of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector and the broader economy.
Owualah also highlighted the challenges facing Nigeria’s education sector, including inadequate remuneration and infrastructure, which have led to a brain drain of qualified professionals. He urged the government to improve conditions to retain talent and strengthen the country’s academic system.
