The management of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has implemented an immediate ban on post-examination celebrations, particularly targeting final-year students.

This decision, announced by registrar Jeremiah Nwamgbo, stems from concerns about the disruptive nature of these celebrations and potential security threats.

The university has stated that any breach of this ban could result in severe consequences, including the cancellation of all examinations taken by the celebrating students and potential arrests.

The administration has urged department heads and the Students Union Government (SUG) to ensure compliance and inform students about the new regulations.

The ban follows instances where final-year students engaged in excessive celebrations, blocking major roads and causing traffic disruptions.
