The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has encouraged Nigeria’s newly confirmed ministers to focus on initiatives that foster national growth and development.

NAUS Senate President Oguntade Omodolamu extended congratulations to the new ministers, expressing confidence that their diverse expertise will contribute positively to Nigeria’s prosperity.

Among the recently confirmed officials are Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Nentawe Yilwatda for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Dingyadi for Labour and Employment, and Jumoke Oduwole for Industry, Trade, and Development. Others include Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education, Idi Muktar Maiha for Livestock Development, and Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing.

Omodolamu emphasized the need for integrity and diligence in their roles, noting, “We believe these appointments reflect strong leadership skills, dedication, and diverse educational backgrounds, which will bring essential new perspectives to drive our nation forward.” He also commended President Bola Tinubu for selecting qualified individuals to lead the country through current challenges.

The student community expressed readiness to collaborate on initiatives that promote a more inclusive and prosperous society. “We hope to work closely with the new ministers to implement projects that will benefit our society and drive national development,” Omodolamu said, reinforcing NAUS’s commitment to supporting the new appointees.
