The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) announced scholarships for 52 minors recently released by presidential directive, ensuring their education through secondary school. These minors had been detained during the End-Bad-Governance protests, and NAPPS praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s compassion in ordering their release.

Alhaji Abdulmumuni Kundak, Chairman of NAPPS Board of Trustees, also commended the introduction of an entrepreneurship curriculum for basic education, emphasizing its role in national development. NAPPS additionally celebrated the Corporate Affairs Commission’s approval of its 2023 Constitution, streamlining governance within the organization.

NAPPS National President, Chief Yomi Otubela, expressed the association’s commitment to reducing out-of-school children, with member schools regularly offering scholarships. He also thanked the President for grants to assist private schools and noted that member institutions have kept tuition hikes below 15% despite economic challenges.
