The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, has announced a partnership with the Oyo State Police Command to address security concerns within the institution. This collaboration aims to enhance safety on campus amid rising security challenges.

Professor Adebowale made the announcement during the university’s 76th Foundation Day on Monday, where 485 graduands were awarded Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The event was graced by key dignitaries, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Minister of State for Education Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, represented by Deputy Governor Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal. Other notable attendees included the Governors of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, represented by Oba (Senator) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja.
