The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative, ASR Africa, has kicked off the construction of a ₦250 million state-of-the-art laboratory complex at the University of Lagos, UNILAG.

Funded through ASR Africa’s Tertiary Education Grants Scheme, TEGS, the project aims to transform research and innovation in Nigerian universities.

The cutting-edge facility will feature bioscience labs, modern workstations, offices, conveniences, and storage spaces to foster groundbreaking discoveries and global collaborations.

UNILAG Vice-Chancellor, Folasade Ogunsola, hailed the initiative as a game-changer, stating, “This laboratory will enhance academic programs, attract global partnerships, and equip young scholars to excel globally.”

The project underscores ASR Africa’s dedication to revolutionizing tertiary education in Nigeria.
