The Olukaro of Ikaro, Oba Asunbo Adebimpe, has called on old students’ associations to support the revitalization of public secondary school infrastructure.

Speaking during a reunion of the 1983 set of Ikaro High School, the monarch stressed the need for alumni, communities, and stakeholders to complement government efforts in transforming the education sector.

Oba Adebimpe emphasized that government resources alone cannot meet the funding needs of education, urging alumni to invest in infrastructural improvements and provide support for underprivileged students. Such initiatives, he noted, would enhance educational standards and reduce the number of out-of-school children.

The monarch lauded the contributions of alumni groups in various communities, highlighting their role as vital partners in addressing the challenges facing public education. He expressed hope that more stakeholders would take active roles in supporting schools to secure a brighter future for students.
