The House of Representatives Committee on Polytechnics has pledged to ensure accountability in the budget administration of Nigeria’s polytechnics and higher technical institutions.

Chairman Rep. Fuad Kayode Laguda stated this after an oversight meeting with five South-East polytechnics, emphasizing the need to verify expenditures and ensure funds are effectively utilized for development.

He noted that the committee plans physical inspections of projects, as some institutions failed to provide adequate evidence of completed works. Laguda reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to transparency in technical education funding.
