Covenant University has claimed victory in the 2024 Chartered Global Management Accountants, CGMA, Business Leaders Challenge, emerging as overall champions during the grand finale held at the Bankers House in Lagos.

Team Analyst from Covenant University outperformed four other finalist teams, including Team Lot from Nile University, which placed second, and Team Visionary Titan from Landmark University, which took third.

As winners, Team Analyst secured N1 million, access to the CGMA Finance Leadership Programme worth £2,000 per participant, and an internship opportunity with a leading corporate organization.

The second and third-place teams were awarded N700,000 and N500,000, respectively, alongside two-month internships. The competition challenged participants to solve real-world business problems, judged by a distinguished panel of finance professionals.

Country Director of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, Ijeoma Anadozie, lauded the competition’s success, highlighting the participation of 57 universities, nearly doubling last year’s figure. She emphasized the challenge’s role in nurturing future business leaders, encouraging participants to leverage global opportunities in management accounting.
