The Governing Council of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo State, has appointed Ezekiel Imoleayo Adeniran as the institution’s third substantive Registrar. The decision was announced during the Council’s 23rd meeting on August 22, 2024. Adeniran officially assumed office on January 6, 2025, bringing over 16 years of extensive experience in university administration to the role.
A seasoned administrator, Adeniran’s career spans federal, state, and private universities, equipping him with a broad understanding of institutions with diverse funding structures. He holds a Master’s Degree in Health Law & Policy from UNIMED, a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resource Management and General Management, and a Diploma in Leadership and Business Management from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He earned his B.Sc. (Honours) in Political Science from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko. Recognised for his exemplary leadership, Adeniran has received accolades such as the Sunshine Role Model Award and the Adekunle Ajasin University Distinguished Alumni Award.
Adeniran is also a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMA) and a member of the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA). With extensive expertise spanning the entire university system and all divisions of the registry, his appointment is anticipated to enhance the operational efficiency of UNIMED’s administration and propel the institution to greater heights.
