The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has entered into a strategic partnership with Tridentnet Wireless Nig. Ltd to provide affordable internet services to Polytechnic students across Nigeria. This initiative aims to address the persistent internet-related challenges faced by students in higher institutions.

During the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, NAPS Senate President, Comrade Adeniji Temitope, lauded Tridentnet Wireless for offering cost-effective solutions tailored to Polytechnic students. He expressed concern over the difficulties students encounter in accessing reliable wireless internet on campuses despite paying ICT and internet fees.

“Internet access is vital for modern learning and academic success. Unfortunately, many students are denied this essential service, which hampers their education. NAPS leadership took it upon itself to find a lasting solution, and Tridentnet Wireless Nig. Ltd stepped forward to meet our needs,” Temitope said.

The partnership is expected to bridge the digital divide and enhance the academic experience for Polytechnic students nationwide. Comrade Temitope expressed optimism that this collaboration would significantly ease access to internet services, making study and research more effective and empowering students to thrive in a competitive global environment.
