No fewer than 400 students in Ikere Ekiti are set to benefit from the second edition of the free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration initiative by the Ade Crown Empowerment Foundation (ACEF). This year’s program builds on the success of last year’s edition, which had a similar positive impact on the community.

In a statement, the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Ambassador Temitayo Abiodun, reaffirmed ACEF’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities for young Nigerians. He announced that the free registration would take place from January 27 to February 7, 2025, and is open to eligible students residing in Ikere Ekiti. Interested applicants are required to visit JIL CAFE, located behind Ikere Town Hall along BUESTI Road, to complete their registration.

Amb. Abiodun highlighted the foundation’s objective of easing the financial burden on families and fostering academic pursuits among students. He noted that ACEF’s initiative is part of a broader vision to empower communities through education. Beyond the free UTME sponsorship, the foundation has undertaken several impactful initiatives, including the distribution of books and school bags to primary and secondary school students, showcasing a holistic approach to addressing educational challenges.

Reflecting on the program’s impact, Amb. Abiodun stated, “The success of the first edition inspired this year’s initiative. Many students were able to start their academic journeys thanks to ACEF’s intervention, and we are optimistic about surpassing that impact this year.” He further emphasized the foundation’s belief in the transformative power of education and its mission to remove barriers that hinder access to quality learning. He also called on community members to spread the word and encouraged support from individuals and organizations to sustain the initiative, ensuring no child is left behind in the pursuit of education.
