The Vice Chancellor of [University Name] has revealed that a total of 330 students have benefited from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), receiving a combined sum of N88,723,000.00. He made this announcement yesterday while delivering his speech at the institution’s 3rd matriculation ceremony.

According to him, 145 male and 185 female students have so far accessed the loan, which is aimed at supporting students in their academic pursuits. He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity provided by NELFUND to further their education.

Speaking on the university’s admission process, the Vice Chancellor disclosed that over 4,000 candidates applied, but only 1,004 students were admitted. With the new intake, the university’s enrolment has grown significantly from 673 students at its inception in 2023 to 2,683 students.

“As a common aphorism goes: many were called, but few were selected,” he remarked, emphasizing the competitive nature of the admission process. He explained that being a specialized university, the institution has a regulated admission quota for its programs.

Congratulating the newly matriculated students, the Vice Chancellor reiterated the university’s zero tolerance for indecency and harassment, urging students to uphold discipline and academic excellence throughout their studies.
