President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bishop Matthew Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Kaduna State.

In a statement released by Presidential Spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu also approved the appointment of Thomas Etuh (North Central), Fabian Nwaora (South East), Femi Taiwo (South West), and Zarah Bukar (North East) as members of the University’s Governing Council.

According to Onanuga, the appointees were chosen based on their distinguished careers, leadership experience, and dedication to advancing education in Nigeria.

The President further appointed key administrative officers for the University. Williams Barnabas was named Vice Chancellor, Sanusi Adamu as Registrar, Ibrahim Dalhat as Bursar, and Daniel Abubakar as University Librarian.

The newly appointed officials are expected to drive the growth and development of the institution, which aims to promote applied sciences and technological innovation in Nigeria.
