In a statement on Tuesday, the company said its technology-driven solutions are helping schools streamline operations, improve learning delivery, and extend quality education to more children across Nigeria. According to UNICEF, Nigeria has 10.5 million out-of-school children—the highest in the world—while millions more attend under-resourced schools that leave them unprepared for future opportunities.

The company noted that cost remains a major barrier, as quality private schools charge between ₦500,000 and ₦2 million per year, far beyond the means of households earning below ₦200,000 annually, which represent the majority of Nigerians. ExcelMind argued that while government allocations to education remain low—at 6–8% of the budget compared to UNESCO’s 20% benchmark—its technology platforms are offering a cost-effective alternative. “This crisis is not just about enrollment numbers; it’s about entire generations missing out on opportunities for growth because education is out of reach,” the management said.

Internal data from ExcelMind shows that schools using its platform recorded a 60% cut in administrative costs, a 35% increase in parent and student engagement, and an 80% time saving on administrative tasks. For instance, a secondary school in Lagos with 300 students could save ₦2.4 million annually, reducing fees by up to ₦8,000 per student. In rural communities, where 60% of Nigerians reside, offline-capable systems supported by solar technology have enabled schools to expand enrollment by 150% without major infrastructure investment.

The company stressed that its platforms are tailored to Nigeria’s realities, with offline content delivery, solar compatibility, digital curriculum integration, automated assessments, flexible payment systems, and built-in teacher training. By bridging gaps in access and affordability, ExcelMind said it aims to equip schools nationwide with tools to deliver high-quality education regardless of location or income level.
