Nile University of Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to shaping the next generation of innovators who will accelerate the country’s growth and development. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dilli Dogo, made the pledge during the second day of the institution’s 13th Convocation Ceremony for postgraduate students, stressing that the university is deliberately building a system that nurtures creativity, problem-solving, and forward-thinking leadership.

Prof. Dogo explained that Nile University is positioning itself as a vibrant hub for innovation, enterprise creation, and workforce development. According to him, the institution is equipping students with the practical skills and technological capacity needed to compete and succeed in an increasingly dynamic global environment, ensuring they graduate prepared for real-world challenges.

He noted that the university’s mission goes far beyond training students to seek jobs. Instead, Nile University aims to empower graduates who will build businesses, drive industrial growth, and help reduce Nigeria’s unemployment burden. By instilling entrepreneurial mindsets and industry-focused competencies, the institution hopes to produce graduates who become creators rather than job seekers.

Prof. Dogo added that the university remains firmly committed to fostering a learning environment where research, innovation, and enterprise can thrive. Through this, Nile University plans to contribute significantly to national development by producing graduates who are capable, confident, and ready to make meaningful impact across sectors.
