Tension flared on Monday at the Igbinedion Education Centre as a group of protesters stormed the school premises, demanding stricter action against students allegedly involved in bullying incidents captured in widely circulated viral videos.

The videos, which have sparked outrage across social media, showed disturbing scenes of students being beaten, flogged, and kicked by a group of supposed senior students. The footage triggered swift public condemnation and calls for accountability from the school authorities.

In response to the backlash, the school management released a statement confirming that the students identified in the videos had been suspended. However, this action did little to calm public anger.

Under the banner of Concerned Citizens, protesters gathered at the school entrance, blocking access and holding placards with messages demanding justice for the victims. Many insisted that suspension was not enough, calling instead for the outright expulsion of all students involved in the abuse.
