School leads Mathematics competition
Pampers Private School has emerged as the overall winner at the Lagos State Chapter of the Olympiad Mathematics competition.
The competition organised by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria had Pampers Private School securing four coveted medals, including first place in Lagos, third place in Lagos, the Best Female Primary Level award, and a special award from the Provost of Lagos State University of Education. Platform schools wins national music contest
Platform Schools, Ipaja, Lagos, has won the eighth National Interschool Music Competition and Academic Award.
Platform Schools who emerged winner of the competition won a sum of N200,000; Homeland School won second position got N100,000, and Lagoon School, who came third received a sum of N75,000
Titled, ‘Celebrating diversity in unity,’ over 10 schools participated in the grand-finale which took place at the University of Lagos.

Anglican old girls gift Lagos medical equipment
The Anglican School Friends has donated some Intensive Care Unit equipment to Maternity Hospital, Lagos Island.

Lagos plans new technical, vocational colleges

The president of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwunmi Adeshina will on Friday, December 8 deliver the convocation Lecture at the 2nd Veritas University Digital Innovations Exhibition and the 12th Convocation Lecture of the Veritas University, Abuja.
Dr Akinwunmi who was Nigeria’s former Minister of Agriculture during the Goodluck Jonathan Administration between 2015 and 2019 will be speaking on the theme “Africa, Its Your Time” on Friday, 8th December, 2023, according to a statement by the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication of the University, Ben Agande. ASUU to FG: Stop interfering with TETFund operations
The leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has rejected what it described as the smuggling of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) budgetary allocation into the 2024 Federal Government’s national annual budget.
ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, speaking on Thursday at the TETFund Alliance for Innovative Research (TETFAIR), Showcase and Closing Event held at Innov8 Technology Hub, Airport Road, Abuja, asked the Federal Government to stop undue interference with TETFund operations. Corp member donates 3-classroom block to LEA Primary School in Plateau
member of the National Youth Service Year Corps (NYSC) deployed to Plateau State, Mr Martins Bassey, has built and donated a 3-classroom block to the Local Education Authority (LEA) Primary School at Rangarasang, Rantya in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
