Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, Rector of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), underscored the transformative power of partnerships between academic institutions and industries at the inaugural graduation of the “Telecom Access Foundation Programme” held at the Skillfort training hub.

The event saw 28 students graduate with certifications in RF & Microwave Technology, Fiber Optics Solutions, Network Optimization, Renewable Energy Solutions, and Quality Environmental Health and Safety.

Dr. Abdul highlighted YABATECH’s efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry, noting the college’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates and announcing that 25 students had been sent to China for an 18-month training program in automobile engineering.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards, with Akinwale Akinyemi emerging as the overall best student. Akinyemi expressed gratitude on behalf of the graduates to Omnicom and Skillfort for their comprehensive training and support, which included hands-on practical experience, transport allowances, and expert instruction.
