Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has awarded full scholarships to 30 outstanding students from the state, allowing them to attend the Federal Government Academy, Suleja.
The announcement came during a reception at the Government House, where Lawal acknowledged the crucial role of the Muhammad Danbaba Centre for Women and Youth Development in achieving the state’s top performance in the National Examination Council entrance exams.
Governor Lawal praised the students for their exceptional achievements and highlighted his administration’s commitment to improving education in Zamfara. He outlined ongoing efforts, including the renovation of over 300 schools and teacher training programs aimed at enhancing public school education. Lawal shared his personal experience with public schooling to emphasize his dedication to reviving educational quality.
The Chairman of the Muhammad Danbaba Centre, Sarkin Malami, briefed the governor on the center’s contributions and provided recommendations for further enhancements. Governor Lawal assured continued support for students, reaffirming his commitment to further scholarships and educational reforms.
