The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially released the results of the 2024 In-School National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations conducted nationwide in June and July.
At a briefing held at the NABTEB Headquarters in Benin, Acting Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nnasia Asanga, announced that 67,751 candidates registered across 1,708 examination centers, with 67,340 candidates—representing 99.39 percent—sitting for the exams.
Dr. Asanga provided a breakdown of the enrollment, noting that candidates pursued 16 Engineering Trades, 7 Construction Trades, 9 Miscellaneous Trades, 4 Business Trades, and 16 General Education Subjects. Of those who sat for the examinations, 44,000 candidates achieved scores of five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics, accounting for 65.34 percent of the total candidates. Additionally, 62,235 candidates, or 92.42 percent, obtained five credits and above with or without these two subjects.
The timely release of these results is expected to facilitate the aspirations of candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions, thereby enhancing their educational and career opportunities.
