Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has urged the graduating students of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) to use their knowledge and skills to drive positive change in society. Speaking at the combined 34th and 35th convocation ceremony, Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of integrity, hard work, and resilience, urging the graduates to be good ambassadors of the university and make a lasting impact in their communities and Nigeria.
The governor also acknowledged the contributions of parents and guardians in supporting the graduates’ academic journeys, commending their role in making the convocation possible. He praised the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji for transforming FUTA into a world-class institution with a focus on research and technological innovations.
Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s commitment to the development of education, promising continued support for state-owned institutions. He called for further collaboration between the university and the government to promote education, innovation, and progress in Ondo State.
