The Presidency has dismissed claims that the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) will be scrapped under the proposed Tax Reform Bills.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, clarified in a statement on Monday that the bills only aim to streamline taxes to reduce the burden on businesses and improve the economy.

He explained that the agencies will not be dissolved but will receive funding from consolidated taxes and the national budget while exploring other revenue sources.

Onanuga urged Nigerians to avoid misinformation, participate in public hearings, and support reforms to modernize tax laws for national growth. He assured that the reforms would benefit all Nigerians, especially those struggling economically.
