The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved the commencement of Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes at Distinct Polytechnic, Ekosin, Osun State. This approval was conveyed in an official letter received by the institution’s Rector, Dr. A. T. Adepoju, FCIB, and made available to newsmen in Osogbo over the weekend.

The approved HND programmes include Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, and Computer Science (Software and Web Development). Expressing his excitement, Dr. Adepoju thanked NBTE for the approval and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to producing competent and skilled graduates capable of competing both nationally and globally.

Dr. Adepoju also announced that admissions have commenced immediately for all prospective candidates who wish to gain both knowledge and practical skills. Admission requirements for HND include five O’Level credits in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB (at most two sittings), a JAMB cut-off mark of 120, and a minimum of lower credit in the National Diploma (ND) programme of the candidate’s chosen discipline.

Furthermore, admissions are ongoing for National Diploma (ND) programmes in various fields, including Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking Operations, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering, Mass Communication, Science Laboratory Technology, Statistics, and Security Management and Technology.
