Fees hike: Police teargas, disperse protesting UNILAG students
Personnel of the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Police Force have dispersed students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), who are protesting against the hike in the fees payable by students of the university, with tear gas.

NUC approves 32 full-time undergraduate programmes for University of Ilesa
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilesa, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, on Tuesday, put the number of courses approved by the National University Commission (NUC) for the institution to 32.

COEASU distances self from job racketeering in colleges
The Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) has distanced itself from the alleged job racketeering being probed in tertiary institutions by the Federal House Representatives.

Delhi government applauds unique work of teachers, principals in educating children
The Delhi government on Tuesday conferred awards to 118 teachers and principals for better discharge of their duties and unique work in the field of education. Each awardee was given a certificate, a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a medal and a shawl.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann announces recruitment drive in education department
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday announced the start of a major recruitment drive in the education department, saying a large number of posts are lying vacant and, due to this, studies are being affected. Mann was addressing a gathering during a state-level function here to mark Teacher’s Day, according to an official release.
