Over 300 private schools operate without license in Zamfara — Commissioner

Zamfara Commissioner of Education, Mallam Wadatau Madawaki has raised the alarm that over 300 private schools were operating without license in the State.

Madawaki also disclosed that state government has Suspended operational licenses of all the private schools in the state with a view to repositioning them to meet the challenges of the rescue mission of the state government. Shun night journeys, NYSC Ondo boss tells Corps members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs Victoria Nnenna Ani has pleaded with prospective corps members deployed for national service not to embark on night journeys as they proceed to orientation camps.

The State Coordinator made the appeal in a release made available to newsmen in Akure, the state capital as she hinted that over 1600 prospective corps members are expected to converge on the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare-Akoko for the three weeks orientation exercise. Edo State varsity graduates first set of postgraduate students Saturday

The Vice Chancellor of Edo State University Uzairue, Prof Emmanuel Aluyor, has announced that the institution will graduate a total of 414 undergraduate students, along with its first set of postgraduate programs, at the 5th convocation ceremony.

Abia Govt seals Emerald Schools in Aba, orders parents to withdraw children

Abia State Ministry of Education, Umuahia, has informed the general public that Emerald Schools, located at Crystal Park Avenue, off Port Harcourt road in Aba South LGA, have been sealed and their operational approval withdrawn.

The ministry in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Education, Professor Uche-Eme-Uche, on Tuesday, said that the sealing of the educational facility was a result of the ministry’s findings, which, according to him, “showed that the said school was operating below the stipulated standards set for the operation of private schools in the state, a situation, which led to the unfortunate death of a pupil.” Read more https://dailypost.ng/2023/11/01/abia-govt-seals-emerald-schools-in-aba-orders-parents-to-withdraw-children/

Nigerian universities will lose patronage soon – Uniosun VC

OSOGBO – The Vice Chancellor, Osun State University, Professor Clement Adebooye has disclosed that Universities in Nigeria will begin to lose students’ patronage following pressure from employers.

UNIOSUN VC raises alarm over decline in university enrollment

The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Clement Adeboye, has raised concerns over the potential decline in students’ enrollment over recent trends of marginalisation of graduates from schools.
