Ola Olukoyede, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has disclosed shocking details about the financial activities of a former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello. During an interview in Abuja on Tuesday, Olukoyede stated that Bello transferred $720,000 from the state’s funds to a bureau de change to prepay his child’s school fees before leaving office. Expressing dismay over such actions in a state grappling with financial challenges, Olukoyede emphasized the necessity of addressing such misconducts.

Highlighting his commitment to accountability and justice, Olukoyede expressed his determination to ensure that those implicated face legal consequences.
