During the matriculation ceremony of 5,849 new students for the 2023/2024 academic session at The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS), the Rector, Dr. Sikiru Adetona Ajibola, emphasized the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards cultism, hooliganism, and other anti-social behaviors. In his address to the newly admitted students, Dr. Ajibola urged them to uphold academic excellence with godliness and adhere strictly to the institution’s core values, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a conducive learning environment free from disruptions.

Through a statement released by the Institution’s Public Relations Officer, Adebayo Samson Abiodun, the Rector warned that the management would not hesitate to sanction any student found engaging in misconduct or perpetrating social menace. Dr. Ajibola reassured parents and guardians that their children/wards are under the care of the institution, highlighting TOPS’ commitment to becoming a world-class institution by implementing various mechanisms to achieve this goal.

Dr. Ajibola underscored the significance of the matriculation ceremony as a milestone in the institution’s journey, welcoming the new students into the diverse academic programs offered at TOPS. He expressed excitement about the injection of new faces and new blood into the Polytechnic, emphasizing the importance of upholding academic integrity and fostering a culture of excellence.
