The primary school segment of the highly anticipated 7th Zenith Inter-School Swimming Competition is set to unfold at Ikoyi Club 1938 on Saturday, May 4. Ikedichi Kanu, the Chairman of the club’s swimming section, has confirmed the participation of 15 schools vying for top honors in this youth event. With preparations in full swing and registration ongoing over the past weeks, Kanu expressed excitement about witnessing the young athletes showcase their swimming skills and have a fun-filled day of competition.
In light of the upcoming event, the Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, has encouraged all participants to seize the opportunity presented by the competition. Onyeagwu emphasized the importance of such events in laying the foundation for budding athletes to kickstart their careers. In the previous edition of the competition, Grange School emerged as champions in both the Primary and Secondary school categories, setting the bar high for this year’s contenders.
