Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has appointed Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba as its new Vice-Chancellor, following the conclusion of a comprehensive selection process that began in February.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of ATBU’s Governing Council, Air Commodore Emmanuel K. Jekada (retired), announced Garba’s appointment on Thursday after the Council’s meeting in Bauchi. Jekada noted that the selection process included advertising the position, screening applicants, and conducting interviews, with Garba emerging as the top candidate among three finalists.

Jekada urged the new Vice-Chancellor to focus on driving excellence and advancing the university’s growth and development.
