Adegboyega Akosile, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Ilorin.
The award, announced in a letter from the university’s alumni association, recognizes Akosile for his exceptional leadership, innovation, and community service.
Akosile, a seasoned journalist and public relations expert, has played a key role in Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration by managing media relations and promoting government initiatives under the THEMES+ agenda. With over two decades of experience in journalism, media, and corporate communications, Akosile’s achievements span both the public and creative sectors.
Before joining the Lagos State government, Akosile worked with top media organizations and ran Bridgeworld Communications Company. He holds degrees from the University of Ilorin, Obafemi Awolowo University, and the University of Lagos, and remains an active member of several professional bodies, including the NUJ and NIPR.
